Scotty McCreery just won American Idol!

 McCreery beat out Lauren Alaina to win Season 10 of American Idol last night. People reports that  McCreery has dedicated his big win the God. He said, "It’s been a year since me and Lauren Alaina tried out now. We’ve been together since day one and we’re going to stay together. This is just – never in my wildest dreams … I got to thank the Lord first. He got me here.” Lauren Alaina also thanked the big man upstairs and said, "I knew somehow God would get me through it."

Jennifer Lopez & Steven Tyler Join American Idol

Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler have officially joined American Idol!

The announcement came from the shows host Ryan Seacrest this morning during an American Idol presentation were all the Judges were present. Lopez and Tyler will join Randy Jackson as judges and Seacrest will continue hosting. The only original America Idol judge on the singing competition show will be Randy Jackson as Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi have all left. Lopez will earn $12 million for the upcoming season but Tyler's salary hasn't been confirmed just yet.

Jennifer Lopez Out As American Idol Judge

Jennifer Lopez is out as American Idol judge!

People is reporting that Lopez will not be a judge on the upcoming season of American Idol because she was too demanding! A source said, “Her demands got out of hand. Fox had just had enough.”  Lopez along with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith were suppose to be the big names that replace Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres but this will not happen. Lopez is officially out and Tyler is still in talks with the network.  A rep for Lopez had no comment.

Fantasia Barrino Hospitalized After Drug Overdose

Fantasia Barrino was just hospitalized after a drug overdose!

WCNC reports that the former American Idol winner was rushed to a North Carolina hospital last night where she was treated for a "medication overdose." It was revealed that Barrino was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville around 8:55 PM after the drug overdoes. It hasn't been revealed whether it was accidental or intentional but Barrino has been involved some recent drama. Last week she was accused of having an affair with a married man, making a sex tape and ultimately breaking up a marriage.

Kara DioGuardi Fired From American Idol

Kara DioGuardi has been fired from American Idol!

TMZ reports that DioGuardi has been fired and that, "We're told the show will be going back to a three-judge format and assuming all deals are finalized, the judge's panel will consist of Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler."  There has been no word yet from Kara but it sounds like they had to fire her since she wasn't willing to leave. This news comes just hours after Ellen DeGeneres announced her departure from AI.
