Angelina Jolie Got A Double Mastectomy

Angelina Jolie just revealed that she got a preventive double mastectomy.

She said that she got the procedure done after learning she carried a gene that made it extremely likely she would get breast cancer. She and husband Brad Pitt made the shocking announcement via The New York Times. They wrote, "My mother fought cancer for almost a decade and died at 56. She held out long enough to meet the first of her grandchildren and to hold them in her arms. But my other children will never have the chance to know her and experience how loving and gracious she was." Adding, "I wanted to write this to tell other women that the decision to have a mastectomy was not easy. But it is one I am very happy that I made. My chances of developing breast cancer have dropped from 87 percent to under 5 percent. I can tell my children that they don’t need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer."

The first photos of Angie's brand new engagement ring is here and is pretty shocking. The ring is estimated to have cost $250,000 and was designed by Brad Pitt. Pitt worked with jeweller Robert Procop for nearly a year to perfect the unique looking ring. His team released a statement that said, "Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realised over a year-long collaboration with Robert. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are engaged!

The power couple are engaged to be married and their rep Cynthia Pett-Dante made it official by saying, "Yes, it's confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time." Apparently, their six kids, Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and twins Knox and Viv, 3 really started to put the pressure on them to get married. There's no date set yet for the ceremony but we're sure it will be one to remember.

Angelina Jolie Flashes Her Legs At The Oscars

Angelie Jolie showed some leg at the Oscars!

The actress showed up to last night's 84th Academy Awards in a long black dress with a huge slit up the middle exposing her right leg. Jolie seemed to really enjoy the slit as she proudly stuck out her leg at every possible moment. After she took the stage to present an award, a producer from The Descendants paid homage to her by sticking out her leg just like her!

Angelina Jolie Not Ruling Out Another Pregnancy

The Jolie/Pitt family might be growing sometime in the near future as the parents of six are fairly open about their interest in adding a seventh to their clan!

Three adopted children, three biological children, two superstar parents and a partridge in a pair tree, this broods a big one! But Angelina Jolie and love Brad Pitt won’t be slowing down anytime soon. Pitt shared with Australia's 60 Minutes back in November that he doesn’t think that their finished at six kids, whether it be conceiving or adopting. In an interview for the January 2012 issue of Marie Claire, Jolie says there is, "nothing planned at the moment but we just don't know. I could end up pregnant."
