The verdict is in and Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson's former personal physician, was served with a sentence of four years in jail.
Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor, who called Murray’s care for the pop star a "horrific violation of trust" was unable to send Murray to state prison because of a new California law that addresses overcrowding in prisons . Murray will most likely serve in a Los Angeles county jail or on home confinement.
Several members of Jackson's family attended the proceedings and had this to say in response to the sentencing- "We are not here to seek revenge. There is nothing you can do here today that will bring Michael back."
