Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves got engaged on Christmas Day

The 42-year-old actor finally proposed to his longtime girlfriend and did it on Christmas morning. The intimate moment was caught in the photo above and posted on WhoSay with the caption, "just asked camila to marry me, merry Christmas." Matthew and Camila already share two children together, 3-year-old son Levi and 1-year-old daughter Vida.

Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves Welcome Second Child

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves have just welcomed a second child to their family named Vida Alves McConaughey

McConaughey announced the news on his website, saying, “New Year and New Baby! Happy New Year everybody!!! Vida is Portuguese for ‘life’ and that’s what God gave us this morning. Camila’s recovering wonderfully and we are both truly honored to welcome this little lady into our family. Thanks for all your well wishes and prayers along the way. Another blessed day, we give thanks, just keep livin’. Matthew and Camila.” Vida will join their first child, 17 month old Levi. Congrats to Matt and Camila!

Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves Expecting Second Child

Fatherhood certainly seems to suit beach loving, Hollywood heart-throb Matthew McConaughey, so much so that he and his girlfriend Camila Alves are having another!

McConaughey shared the news on his official web site. "Happy Father's Day. It's my first, and the last 11 months with Levi and Camila have been the most rewarding adventure to date. We have more blessed news to celebrate this Father's Day that (will) make this time next year double the fun. Levi is going to be a big brother..." He added, "Yeah, we pulled off the greatest miracle in the world one more time, Camila and I are expecting our second child, bringing more life into the world, making more to live for. The future looks bright as the family grows."

Though they're yet to tie the knot the hot couple are super excited to be adding to their family. McConaughey, told People magazine in may that fatherhood "is a wild, wonderful adventure." Check out more pics of the family here...

First Pictures of Levi McConaughey!

OK! Magazine has published the first pictures of Levi McConaughey, the son of Matthew McConaughey and longtime girlfriend Camila Alves. Matthew told OK! that “Becoming a dad is something I’ve dreamed of doing since I was 10. Becoming a father felt very, very natural. We were jamming! She was sweating. No painkiller, let’s go. She just clicked into that gear that only a woman has at a time like this. We’d been up for 40-something hours, and we went from dead tired to a really steadfast, Let’s handle this, let’s stay in the rhythm. Don’t let the contraction be more than you.” Congratulations Matthew and Camila!
