Nicollette Sheridan is claiming that Marc Cherry, the creator of Desperate Housewives, hit her in the face and fired her after she complained. TMZ reports that Nicollette is now suing Cherry for $20 million for assault and battery, gender violence and wrongful termination.
The lawsuit says that Marc Cherry created a hostile work environment and that he was "behaving in an extremely abusive and aggressive manner toward the individuals who work on the show." Nicollete and her lawyers say that Cherry hit her on September 24, 2008 after she questioned him about the script. She said, "Cherry took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head." If that was bad enough, Sheridan also claims that he said, "I hope Teri Hatcher gets hit by a car and dies," after she complained about his behavior to ABC execs.
